Jim Gordon Inducted Into K-State Accounting Hall of Fame

On April 30, 2024, Jim Gordon was inducted into the K-State Accounting Hall of Fame.
Jim Gordon has provided tax, consulting, and accounting services to clients for over 40 years. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1976 and joined the firm in 1980.
As a partner, he provides leadership for the business consulting and tax services divisions within the firm.
He works with clients on estate tax planning, business consulting, business valuation, and income tax preparation and planning. Jim is an author and presenter of continuing education programs in business valuation, income tax training, and professional ethics.
Community service is important to Jim. He was one of the founders of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation and served as the organization's first board president. Jim served as the 2017 Chairman of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Public Accountants Association of Kansas, of which he is past president.
Jim and his wife Deb are strong supporters of the K-State accounting program. Most recently, Jim and Deb have been the lead donors in endowing Pillar 2 of the planned K-State School of Accountancy. This pillar, known as the SGA Gordon Family Scholars Program, will begin in the Fall of 2024 and will create an honors program for outstanding and motivated accounting students.
